Expect a text and email confirming your appointment. We will also send you reminders leading up to the date. If you need to reschedule, no problem. We just ask that you provide at least a 24 hour notice. We have recently updated our general terms and conditions for tax preparation.
We have a dedicated portal for each of our clients to securely exchange documents. This client portal also has an onboarding questionnaire that can help determine what types of documents or information you may need. *Uploading documents and completing the questionnaire in advance may help expedite the preparation of your return.
You will meet with one of our tax consultants. Our calendars are set up in a way that will match you to a consultant who specializes in the type of appointment you selected. We will work to understand your needs and how we can best serve you. For complex tax situations or scenarios, a follow up meeting may be required.

Yes. When scheduling an appointment with James Family Tax you will have the option to select your appointment preference.
We strive to be fair when it comes to our pricing. All prices are based on the forms that are needed for an accurate filing and maximized return. The most recent tax season had an average cost for a personal return of $200 and 385 for schedule C business returns. Free quotes are offered for your specific tax situation. James Family Tax is an authorized e-file provider. We file all returns electronically and directly to the IRS. Some rare circumstances do warrant a return be mailed and we work with our clients to make sure those returns are sent.
James Family Tax works year round to support our clients and their tax needs. Appointments are always available for needs after the filing season.
We understand that It can sometimes be unclear on exactly what you need ahead of time for a tax appointment. We try to make this simple by asking that you:
1. Upload any documents that you believe are tax related to our secure portal ahead of your appointment if possible.
2. Complete the client interview on our client portal.
When you do this our team will look at the combination of documents available and your interview to determine what else we might need and can reach out to request specific items that may be missing.
